Committee On Terms of Service and Conditions Finalizes Committees and Inspectorate of Courts Regulations
Members of the Committee on Terms and Conditions of Service
The Committee on Terms and Conditions of Service on the implementation of the Administration of the Judiciary Act on Thursday March 31, 2022 completed the review process of the Regulations for Committees and the Inspectorate of Courts.
The Committee has over the last three weeks managed to complete the The Administration of the Judiciary (Establishment of Committees) Regulations, 2022 and The Administration of the Judiciary (Inspectorate of Courts) Regulations, 2022.Next, the drafts will be submitted to the Judiciary Council for approval.
Hon. Justice Geoffrey Kiryabwire, the Committee Chairperson, appreciated the Drafting Committee headed by the Chief Registrar, for coming up with the initial draft documents.
The Committee whose composition includes members from the Judicial Service Commission, Judicial Officers and Judiciary Senior Administrators is mandated to review the draft Rules and Regulations for the administration of the Judiciary, and where necessary redraft.
On a lighter note, the Committee during its deliberations jointly celebrated its members' Birthdays whose birth dates are in March. Among those is the Permanent Secretary/Secretary to the Judiciary, Dr Pius Bigirimana, the Chief Registrar, HW Sarah Langa Siu and the Registrar Magistrates Affairs and Data Management, HW Rosemary Bareebe.
Other members of the Committee include Justices; Hon. Justice Henry Peter Adonyo, Hon. Justice John Eudes Keitirima, Hon. Lady Justice Margaret Mutonyi and Hon. Justice Tadeo Asiimwe, Registrars; HW Samuel Emoko, HW John Paul Edoku and HW Patricia Amoko. Ms Tumwine N. Apophia (Commissioner Human Resource -Judiciary), Representatives of the Judicial Service Commission; Mr SamuelMugisa, Mrs Faridah Semyano and Mr Jonan Lulet are also members of the Committee.
